Aftaab (The Sun)
Hazrat Daniyal (peace be upon him) said that in a dream, the sun is a great king or caliph. If one sees in a dream that he caught the sun from the sky or took it into his kingdom, it is a sign that he will attain kingship or greatness, or become a friend and close one of the king. And if he sees that he himself has become the sun, then it is a sign that he will become a king in proportion to the sun. If he is not eligible for kingship, then he will receive greatness and dignity according to his capability. And if he sees that he is fighting the sun, it is a sign that the king will fight and dispute with him. And if he sees that the moon has taken the place of the sun, then it is a sign that he will become king and the kingdom will remain. And if he sees that he is taking light from the sun, it is a sign that he will get a country from a great king. And if he sees that he has caught the sun, but not from the sky, and it has no rays and light and is dark, then he will be freed from grief. And if he sees that the sun is dark and black and not in its place, it is a sign that the king will be dependent in his affairs.
Hazrat Ibn Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the sun in a dream is a great king, the moon is the minister, Venus is a woman, Mercury is the king’s clerk, Mars is the royal warrior, and the rest of the stars are the king’s army.
Hazrat Jabir Maghribi (may Allah have mercy on him) said that in a dream, the sun is the father, the moon is the mother, and the rest of the stars are the brothers. As Allah the Almighty has mentioned in the sacred words in the story of Hazrat Yusuf (peace be upon him): “Indeed, I saw eleven stars and the sun and the moon, I saw them prostrating to me.”
And whatever increase or decrease one sees in the sun, moon, and stars is related to the father, mother, and brothers. And if he sees that a pure and bright sun has risen and stuck to his house, it is a sign that he will desire a woman from among his relatives. And if he sees that clouds, etc., are covering the light of the sun, it is a sign that the king’s condition will be dangerous, and especially when he sees the sun opening up, his affairs will change. And if he sees that the sun has come from blackness to brightness, then it is a sign that the king will be sick and will soon recover.
If he sees that a rope or thread is hanging from the body of the sun, and he touches it, then it is a sign that he will receive help and strength from the king. And if he sees that the rope is broken and he has fallen, then it is a sign that he will fall from greatness and status.
If he sees that he prostrated to the sun or the moon in a dream, then it is a sign that a sin or mistake will appear from him. And if he sees that the sun, moon, and all stars are gathered in one place and he is taking their light, then it is a sign that he will attain the kingship of the world and all kings of the world will be under his command.
And if he sees that he caught the sun, moon, and stars and all are black and dark, then it is a sign that the dreamer will perish, especially if he is a tyrant and oppressor.
Hazrat Kirmani (may Allah have mercy on him) said that if he sees a black dot in the middle of the sun, it is a sign that the king’s heart is distracted in the country. And if he sees two suns fighting each other, it is a sign that two kings will wage war. And if he sees the sun coming to the earth without light, then it is a sign that the king of that country will be deposed from the kingdom and will be deprived of the country.
And if he sees that he has caught the sun in his hand and it is black, then it is a sign that both the king and the dreamer will fall into sorrow. And if he sees that the sun has disappeared into a hole, then it is a sign that the king will die and the general public will fall into grief and sorrow. And if he sees that the sun and stars have been hidden by something, then it is a sign that the king will be defeated by the enemy along with his army. And if he sees that he is worshipping the sun, then it is a sign that he will become close to a great king.
Hazrat Ismail Ash’ath (may Allah have mercy on him) said that if a person sees in a dream that his face is toward the sun, and then he turns his face away from the sun, then it is a sign that he was previously a disbeliever, then became a Muslim, and eventually will become a disbeliever again. And if in a dream he sees that he has seen the sun again, then it is a sign that the king of that country will grieve due to some hopeless matter. And if he sees that the sun is talking to him, then it is a sign that he will attain status, dignity, and greatness from the king.
Hazrat Ja’far Sadiq (may Allah have mercy on him) said that seeing the sun in a dream has eight interpretations:
- Caliph
- Great Sultan
- A nobleman
- Great ruler
- Just king
- Benefit for the subjects
- Woman for man and man for woman
- Good and bright deed
And he also said that if anyone sees that he is prostrating to the sun, it is a sign that the king will be kind to him and make him his companion. He will attain high status. The chiefs and leaders of the country will act justly. And only seeing the rays of the sun gives the opposite meaning.
Aftaab (Sooraj)
Hazrat Daniyal A.S ne farmaya hai ke khwab mein aftaab badshah ya khaleefa buzurgwar hota hai. Agar khwab dekhe ke usne aftaab ko aasman se pakra hai ya apni mulk mein liya hai, daleel hai ke badshahi ya buzurgi paaye ga, ya badshah ka dost aur maqarrab ho ga. Aur agar dekhe ke khud aftaab ho gaya hai to daleel hai ke aftaab ke andazay par badshah ho ga. Agar badshahi ke ahl se na ho ga to apni himmat ke barabar buzurgi aur hashmat paaye ga. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab se jung karta hai to daleel hai ke badshah uske sath jung aur khasoomat kare ga. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab ki jagah chaand qaaim ho gaya hai to daleel hai ke badshah ho ga aur saltanat barqarar rahe gi. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab se noor leta hai to daleel hai ke baday badshah se mulk le ga. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab ko pakra hai, lekin aasman se nahi, aur uski shua aur noor bhi nahi hai aur tareek o teera hai to gham se nijat paaye ga. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab tareek aur siyaah hai aur apni jagah par nahi hai to daleel hai ke badshah apne kaamon mein muhtaaj ho ga.
Hazrat Ibn-e-Sireen R.A ne farmaya hai ke khwab mein aftaab buzurgwar badshah hota hai, aur chaand wazeer, aur Zuhra aurat, aur Utarid badshah ka munshi, aur Mareekh shahī pehlwan, aur baqi sitare badshahi lashkar hotay hain.
Hazrat Jabir Maghribi R.A ne farmaya hai ke khwab mein aftaab baap, aur chaand maan, aur baqi sitare bhai hotay hain. Chunancha Haq Taala ne apne paak kalaam mein Hazrat Yusuf A.S ke qissay mein bayan farmaya hai:
“Inni ra’aitu ahada ‘ashar kawkaban wash-shamsa wal-qamara ra’aituhum li sajideen.”
(“Main ne khwab mein gyarah sitaray dekhe aur aftaab aur chaand ko dekha ke mujhe sajda kar rahay hain.”)
Aur jo zayadti aur kami aftaab, mahtab aur sitaron mein dekhe to maan baap aur bhaiyon par daleel hai. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab roshan aur paakeeza nikla hai aur us ke ghar mein chipka hai to daleel hai ke apne khwaishon mein se aurat chahe ga. Aur agar dekhe ke abr waghera aftaab ke noor ko dhaankta hai to daleel hai ke badshah ka haal khatarnaak ho ga, aur us ke ahwaal — khaaskar jab aftaab ko khulta dekhe — badal jaayein ge. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab siyaahi se roshni mein aaya hai to daleel hai ke badshah bemaar ho kar jald shifa paaye ga.
Agar dekhe ke aftaab ke jism par rassi ya dhaaga latka hua hai, aur us ne is par haath dala hai to daleel hai ke us ko badshah se madad aur quwwat haasil ho gi. Aur agar dekhe ke woh rassi toot gayi hai aur woh gir pada hai to daleel hai ke buzurgi aur martabay se gir jaaye ga.
Agar dekhe ke us ne khwab mein aftaab ya mahtab ko sajda kiya hai to daleel hai ke us se gunaah ya khata zahir ho gi. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab ya mahtab ya tamaam sitaray ek jagah jama hain aur un ke noor ko leta hai to daleel hai ke jahan ki badshahi haasil kare ga, aur jahan ke sab badshah us ke tabi’ hon ge.
Aur agar dekhe ke sooraj, chaand, aur sitaray pakray huay hain aur sab siyaah aur tareek hain to is amar ki daleel hai ke khwab dekhne wala halaak ho jaaye ga — khaaskar agar zaalim aur sitamgar bhi ho.
Hazrat Kirmani R.A ne farmaya hai ke agar dekhe ke aftaab ke darmiyan siyaahi ka nuqta hai to daleel hai ke badshah ka dil mulk mein mashghool ho ga. Aur agar dekhe ke do aftaab aapas mein larte hain to daleel hai ke do badshah aapas mein jung karein ge. Aur agar aftaab ko zameen par aata hua be-noor dekhe to daleel hai ke is mulk ka badshah saltanat se ma’azool ho ga aur mulk se be-bahara ho ga.
Aur agar aftaab ko apne haath mein siyaah dekhe to daleel hai ke badshah aur khwab dekhne wala dono gham mein mubtala hon ge. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab kisi suraakh mein gum ho gaya hai to daleel hai ke badshah mare ga aur aam khalq ko ranj-o-gham ho ga. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab aur sitaron ko kisi cheez ne chhupa liya hai to daleel hai ke badshah lashkar samait dushman se shikast khaye ga. Aur agar dekhe ke aftaab ki parastish kar raha hai to daleel hai ke kisi baday badshah ka maqarrab ho ga.
Hazrat Ismaeel Ash’as R.A ne farmaya hai ke agar koi shakhs khwab mein dekhe ke us ka chehra aftaab ki taraf hai, phir aftaab se chehra pher liya hai to daleel hai ke pehle kaafir tha, phir Musalmaan hua, aur anjam kar phir kaafir ho jaaye ga. Aur agar khwab mein dekhe ke aftaab ko phir dekha hai to daleel hai ke is mulk ka badshah kisi na-umeed cheez se ranj paaye ga. Aur agar aftaab ko apne sath baatein karte huay dekhe to daleel hai ke badshah se martaba aur hashmat aur buzurgi paaye ga.
Hazrat Jafar Sadiq R.A ne farmaya hai ke aftaab ko dekhne ki tabeer aath wajah par hai:
Khaleefa
Sultan buzurg
Ra’een
Haakim buzurg
Adil badshah
Raa’iyyat ka faida
Mard ke liye aurat, aur aurat ke liye mard
Naik aur roshan kaam
Aur ye bhi aap ne farmaya hai ke agar koi dekhe ke woh aftaab ko sajda karta hai to daleel hai ke badshah us par meherbani kar ke apna musaahib banaaye ga. Martaba bara ho ga. Mulk ke raees aur ameer amal karein ge. Aur sirf aftaab ki shua ko dekhna is ke bar’aks hukm deta hai.
